Bostick

Hollidaysburg-a man from Brooklyn, NY, arrested in Alternona about nine months ago, under drug trafficking charges, was ordered to return to New York on Friday and stay outside Blair County or to risk an arrest of conditional violation.

Harold Kareen Bostk, 34 years old, who was in the county prison since his arrest on May 21, entered Friday the guilty pleadings at Blair County Court to make possession offenses with the intention to deliver and the delivery of a controlled substance, for a 24-year-old sentence.

The lawyer of District Pete Week presented the pleading negotiated to the president Wade A. Kagarise, provided he requested that Bostick return to Brooklyn and stay there.

If Bostick wants to return to Altona, weeks he said he must warn the Bureau of Conditional Freedom and Probation of the county and get an OK.

“If it violates this, we will seek the revocation,” Weetes said in court.

Defense lawyer, Kristen Anastasi, indicated that Bostick understood the affection.

While the negotiated sentence seemed to put Bostick in the position of being released immediately from the county prison, Kagarise – after consulted with the county head/Probotta Bailey – told Bostick that his release is to have a home plan approved with home arrangements.

The judge also acknowledged Bostick’s intention to transfer his right of conditional and evidence to New York.

“So, if you return to Blair County, you will have to announce the Bureau of Conditional Freedom and Probation or it is a violation,” Kagarise said.

Bostick nodded and said, “Yes.”

Altoona police and the officers of the drug group in Blair County were arrested on Bostick on May 20, after trying to run from behind a house on block 300 in Fifth Avenue.

The officers, who had the house under supervision, worked with confidential informants, who reported that they had shopping inside a man they knew as “HO” and were later identified as Bostick.

When ensuring a search warrant for the search for the house, the police found 1.5 ounces of cracked cocaine packaged in 64 servings with a street value of about $ 4,200. It was found under a foldable arm of the sofa in the living room. Also, the officers reported that he had found and confiscated about $ 3,000 in cash, marijuana, a heat press for packing large amounts of drugs and a semi-automatic caliber pistol .25.

In exchange for Bostick’s guilt, the district prosecutor has withdrawn additional drug trafficking and firearms. At the time of his arrest, the police said Bostick had a criminal offense in New York, which forbids him to hold a firearm.
