The doctor of the health clinic for women accused of sexually abusing patients, adulteration of medical devices

Memphis, Tenn. (Wmc/Graynews) – a tennessee doctor was charged for several federal charges arising from a conducting investigation.

FBI performed an order of court search warrant Last April to a Memphis East women clinic.

This week, a federal indictment with 23 accounts became uncertain, accusing Dr. Sanjeev Kumar to compel at least four women to travel to Memphis to perform illegal sexual acts between September 2019 and June 2024.

He also accuses him of carrying out unnecessary medical procedures, reuseing disposable medical devices, not sterilizing equipment and false invoicing such as Medicare and Medicaid.

Dr. Kumar operates the health of women and Med Spa on Poplar Avenue.

“This doctor has made a profit before the patients,” said FBI special agent, Joseph E. Carrico. “The alleged abusive behavior here took place over five years, which means there could be many victims.”

On April 16, 2024, the FBI attacked the clinic in search of evidence regarding the indictment.

A great federal jury claims that Kumar and his staff have not cleaned, sanitized and/or sterilize tools that are used to examine patients for years.

The document explained that the devices “usually contacted human tissue, discharge and blood.”

The East Memphis doctor is experiencing a punishment to perform several years in prison and a fine of $ 250,000.

FBI said that if someone has additional information about this case or if they think they were victims, his office may be contacted.
