DB will take “complete measures” against offenders during Ramadan

The detective branch (DB) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police has decided to launch a “complete action” against the criminal bands identified from different areas of the capital, which will reduce the robbery, bite and theft in the Capital.

DB has adopted a policy of “zero tolerance” against crimes and criminals, said the additional DMP commissioner Karim Mallik, also the head of DB, while informing reporters at DMP Media Center about maintaining the law and order during Ramadan.

“The information about information, which we have obtained, suggests that most of those involved in theft, robbery and funeral are between 15 and 30 years old. Many of them are members of the minor bands. A fascist political party encourages these criminals and helps their activities,” he said.

He also said that they receive information about criminal groups from different areas and measures are made against them.

The head of the DB said that the special operation will continue with his usual activities on the occasion of the future Holy Monday of Ramadan.

He said that financial transactions increased significantly in the month of Ramadan, with several crowds at malls, banks, insurance offices, railway stations, bus terminals and launch terminals.

“To prevent any sabotage or criminal activities in these areas, we have intensified the supervision of our information,” he added.

In addition, information supervision was increased to prevent accidents on roads and highways.

The police official said that the common forces have intensified operations throughout the country to maintain the law and order.

“Along with DB, other security forces are also on the field. The army in Bangladesh plays a crucial role there. We assist them with various information contributions, which will grow even more in the future.”

The head of DB mentioned that the situation of the law and order is gradually improving in the Capital and is probably more improvement.

“If someone secretly raises someone or performs searches in simple clothes that claim to be from DB, please inform us. Also, if you have information about potential sabotage acts, please help DB, providing relevant details,” he said.
