A member of a gang of thieves who rolled a gold toilet of 4.75 million pounds away from the Blenheim Palace and wrapped it back just a day before Heist.

Michael Jones, 39, told Oxford Crown Court that it is “Splendid” to use the completely operating toilet, which was installed as an art work at Oxfordshire Country House, where Sir Winston Churchill was born.

The raid was released in September 2019, the court said that Jones took more pictures in front of the robbery.

One of the windows, which was later broken to steal the golden toilet was caught to “surprise the view of the Union in the distance,” Jones said.

Also, a lock was photographed on the cubic at the toilet. The defendant said it was because he thought he was “quite funny that you can actually block in the toilet.”

In January, Jones, 39 years old, did not plead guilty of burglary. Another man, James Sheen, 40 years old, in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, was previously guilty of burglary.

The work of toilet art, entitled America, weighed about 98 kilograms and were taken in an “auditory raid” of five minutes.

The art work was provided for US $ 6 million (4.75 million pounds) and was made of gold, which itself was worth about 2.8 million pounds.

It is believed to have been broken after being stolen. The thieves led by locked, wooden gates, on the land of the palace, before entering through a window.

The Security Palace that were looking at CCTV followed on the floor while the two cars removed from the scene, the Oxford Crown Court was said.

The thieves led through wooden gates locked on the field of Blenheim Palace before entering a window, they told the jurors.

“They knew exactly where to go, they broke the wooden door to the cubic where the toilet was completely installed, removed it, leaving the water that flows from the pipes and left,” said prosecutor Julian Christopher KC.

“Clearly, such an auditory attack would not have been possible without much training.”

Before he was taken, the golden toilet had been described by critics as a satire against wealth excesses.

Won attention during the first term of President Donald Trump, when the White House asked to borrow a Vincent van Gogh Painting, reported The Washington Post.

Curator Guggenheim, Nancy Spector, refused the request, but probably with the pain of Mr. Trump for all things in mind, offered the toilet instead.

The process continues.
