Former school worker accused of producing porn of children under his care

Minneapolis (WCCO) – a former employee of the Minnesota school facing infant pornography and made the first appearance in court on Wednesday.

Authorities say he has used artificial intelligence to make explicit sexual images of children under his care.

Investigators believe that more victims could still be there.

The school is one of the many in which William Haslach has worked for years, including as an employee of ISD 622 for more than three years.

Investigators say he watched lunch and schools.

In another district, Haslach served as a summer program assistant.

A federal indictment says at that time, he used this access to take pictures of children in his care.

Then he used artificial intelligence to turn those photos into child pornography.

“This will worsen,” said forensic expert Heather Barnhart. “It is not an isolated incident.”

Barnhart, one of the nation’s best medical experts, says criminals are using more and more for evil.

“We cannot put it. The cat is out of the bag. It will continue to happen, ”Barnhart said. “It is a captivating game and, unfortunately, it has to raise its pace, because you do not slow down.”

A former employee of the Minnesota School with accusations of child pornography and made the first appearance in court on Wednesday.

Haslach is now accused of holding porn for children, as well as the production of obscene visual representation of sexual abuse on children.

Investigators say it is likely to distribute the photos he has created, adding that they have more victims than they are aware.

“I am terrified for children, for their families, for these communities,” said Minnesota State Senator Erin Maye Quade.

Quade is already working on a draft law that would respond to companies in similar cases.

“We should not live in a world where someone can make a video or a picture of us naked just because we happen to be around them and have a picture with us,” added Quade.

Meanwhile, Barnhart says he keeps the world of your little child and asks when a photo is posted, who has access?

“We just have to fight to protect our children, to protect the innocent and to learn how to use technology.”

A judge has ordered Haslach to remain in arrest. A formal detention hearing is set for next months.

In addition to the federal accusations, Haslach also faces state accusations.
