A dispute between two students from the campus of the Muslim University Aligarh (AMU) took a violent turn. After a minor altercation, a student shot another student, identified as Mohammad Kaif, on the spot.

After this incident, there was chaos on the campus of the university and an atmosphere of fear was created among students.

According to eyewitnesses, both students quarreled with something about something. The problem escalated so much that a student opened the fire in anger. The bullet hit Mohammad Kaif directly and then fell on the ground.

After the incident, colleagues students immediately informed the police and the university administration. The injured student was taken to the Medical College Jawaharlal Nehru (JNMC), but the doctors declared him dead.

As soon as the dismissal information was received, the police station of the civil lines arrived at the scene, the police took the corpse in arrest and sent it for the post-mortem.

Meanwhile, the police scan the materials of the CCTV rooms installed on the University campus to find out who was the student who fired and how he obtained the weapon. The police also began to question some students and eyewitnesses.

According to the preliminary investigation, this case may be related to the mutual rivalry. The police also investigate if any third party has had any role in this dispute or the problem was of personal enemy.

The administration of the Muslim University Aligarh expressed deep condolences on the incident and appealed to students to maintain peace.

The administration said that the violence is increasing among the students is a problem of concern, and the Security will be gathered.

This dismissal incident has angered the students of AMU and locals. The students said that such incidents in the educational institutions are very worrying, and the administration must continue to strengthen the security system.

Reacting to the incident, the circle officer, Abhay Kumar Pandey, said this incident is very unfortunate. “We started looking for suspects, and the culprits will be arrested soon. There is also a discussion about security on the campus of the university, “he added.
