The leader of the accused Mexican cartel, Quintero advocates not being guilty of drug charges in the American court

The alleged head of the Mexican cartel, Rafael Caro Quintero, pleaded guilty on Friday for drug trafficking charges.

Mexican authorities on Thursday agreed to send Quintero and about 30 other suspect card members to the US, including former Zetas card leader, Miguel Ángel Trevi Morales.

The United States has been trying to ensure the arrest of Quintero for over 40 years, after being sentenced to Mexico to plot the 1985 killing of the drug administration Enrique “Kiki” Camarena, conformable New York Times.

The 72 -year -old Quintero spent 28 years in the Mexican prison for the murder of Camarena, in which he denied to be involved, CNN reported. He pleaded that he is not guilty for a indictment that accuses him of leading a criminal enterprise, drug trafficking and using illegal firearms in a hearing in front of US magistrate judge Robert Levy.
