President Donald Trump says he intends to issue “a complete pardon of Pete Rose”, the leader of the baseball career, who was forbidden from MLB and Fami Hall for sports bets.

Trump posted on Truth Social Friday evening to say Rose, who died in September At 83, “you should not have played on baseball, but only bet on the team winning.”

Trump did not specifically mention Rose’s fiscal case, in which Rose was guilty in 1990 for two charges of filed false tax returns and executed a five -month prison sentence.

The president said he would sign a pardon for Rose “in the coming weeks”.

MLB and Rose agreed with a permanent prohibition in 1989, after an investigation has established that it bet on games involving Cincinnati tomatoes since 1985-87 while playing and managed the team. The Board of Directors of Hall of Fame, in 1991, adopted a rule that prevented people on the permanent list not eligible to appear on the ballot.
