55 years of reforms have shaped the Constitution: Narender Jadhav

Hyderabad:Former Chief Economist of the Bank of the Reserve in India (RBI), Narendra Damodhar Jadhav, said many people only know that the Constitution was written by the Constitutional Assembly between 1946 and 1950, while in reality, the book book was the result of a 55 -year process of constitutional reforms that started in 1895.

The delivery of justice Konda Madhava Reddy Memorial Lecture about ’55 years since the constitution and the role of Dr. Bru Ambedkar ‘, Jadhav, a former member of Rajya Sabha, said that two parallel constitutional reforms were initiated in those days – one by the British leaders and the others by the Indian leaders. These two were finally merged in 1946, when the constitutive assembly was formed, he said.

There were around 12 major attempts to write the Constitution. A leader who was common to most of the 12 efforts was Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, he said.

Justice B. Sudarshan Reddy stressed that the Constitution was conceived as a framework for government and social relations. It was shocking and deeply disturbing to read about constitutional officials, including some judges of the Supreme Court, to resemble the beneficiaries of well -being as parasites, he said.

“To call a welfare schemes as freebies and to suggest that the beneficiaries were not served was an attempt to dehumanize the fellow citizens. It’s a serious concern, ”said Reddy justice.

The president of the assembly, Gaddam Prasad Kumar, said that Judge Konda Madhav Reddy was a deadlock and a great scientist, who also brought reforms in the field of education.

Member Rajya Sabha, Dr. K. Laxman, said that Dr. Ambedkar has different with Jawaachalal Nehru on certain issues from the beginning, including Article 370, offering a special status Jammu and Kașmir. Dr. Ambedkar considered the state as an integral part of the country.

There have been many attempts to disturb the Constitution, such as the emergency imposition and gross abuse of article 356, but survived all these attempts and became stronger, said Dr. Laxman.

MP Chevella, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, said the Constitution was the Lighthouse that can help India meet her Vikasit Bharat goal.
