Suspected in two homicides and a kidnapped child killed by the police

Riverside, Mo. (KCTV/Gray News) – a night of terror in Missouri ended on Friday morning, when the man suspected of killing two people, hurting another and the kidnapping of a child was killed by the police.

The Sheriff’s office in Platte county said George Manning, 43 years old, was shot and killed by the police just after 7:30

He was the suspect in two homicides that took place on Friday night, the second involving a kidnapping of the child who determined an Amber alert, reported the authorities.

According to the police, Manning shot for the first time and killed a woman in the parking lot of Riverside car washer, before stealing her car.

Then, Manning led to a house on the 4400 block in NW 50th Street, where he shot a boy and another woman, killing the boy and seriously injuring the woman. Police said Manning then took a 5 -year -old girl from home, which caused an Amber alert.

The identities of the victims were not released. The second shot woman is believed to be the mother of the boy killed and the kidnapped child, according to Jeffrey Shanks, spokesman of the Sheriff’s Platte County. She was hospitalized after the shot.

The authorities believe that the first woman killed had no connection with the victims of the second shooting.

Just before midnight, Kansas City police received a 911 call about shootings pulled at a Kansas City bar. When the officers arrived at the scene, they confirmed an aggravated attack that did not result in an injury.

The witness from the bar reported the aggravating suspect, who was suitable for Manning’s description, left the bar on foot. Minutes later, a carjacking was reported a few blocks away from the bar.

It is not clear exactly when the kidnapped girl was returned to her family, but at about 5:10 am, it was reported that it was found safe. Authorities said she was unharmed in the incident.

Finally, Manning returned to Platte County, Missouri, in a stolen vehicle. The police found him on the Vivion Road, near the intersection between Waukomis Drive. It seems that the police killed Manning in a subsequent shooting.

“I was only working, I was doing my things this morning and, from a time, I heard as if 50 fires were extinguished,” said Chuck Nord, a witness near the scene in which Manning was killed. “So I ran out and saw the weapons that slip. They gave some types on the ground and seemed to take it. Was crazy. “

Missouri State Highway Patrol said that the officer’s shootings are investigated. The Kansas City police department, Kansas, investigates the alleged offenses committed in Kansas City, Kansas.
