Smartphone for first safety for children revealed

A new smartphone has been revealed, which is designed to keep children safe through built -in parental controls, location tracking and parental approval for messaging and call contacts.

Announced by the HMD telephony producer – the company behind Nokia Modern – Fusion X1 devices was created in response to new research from the company, which found that more than half of the children were contacted online by foreigners.

The study, which included a poll conducted on 25,000 children and adults in the UK, USA, Germany, India, Australia and the United Arab Emirates also found that one in three children was encouraged to take conversations to private platforms, 40% of children were sent sexually or violently and 52% of children considered that they were dependent on their screens.

In response to this and continuous concerns about the impact of the digital world on the physical and mental well -being of young people, the safe HMD child contains controls that allow parents to decide when and if socializing applications are accessible.

Incorporated controls include parental approval for messaging and call contacts, a tracking feature that allows parents to receive alerts when children leave safely designated areas and a “concentrated” way, which can block the application access during school time or to bed to reduce distractions.

The characteristics have been developed in partnership with the XPLora Norwegian technology company, which makes smart watches for children and are fed by an XPLora subscription, which is integrated into the phone operating system.

HMD said that the purpose of the device was to provide parents with an alternative to the dilemma that many parents are currently facing, which is to give their child a smartphone with complete rights and access to the more unrestricted internet, or to keep their child unnever.

The telephone manufacturer has committed to launch two devices in 2025, as part of the one-year-old phone project, which saw the company to work with parents and experts in what should include in a friendly children’s device.

“Smartphones are not only technology – they shape childhood, family dynamics and society itself,” said Lars Silberbauer, HMD marketing director.

“Few companies build solutions with children and parents in mind. We work with parents to do exactly.

“The best phone project is the proof that change is possible when families, not corporations, lead the conversation.”

In addition, HMD has confirmed that it will begin to carry out a real -time damage protection feature at its phones built with the British Safetonet Cibersecurity.

It will use AI tools to detect and automatically block the harmful content before reaching the user, HMD said.

“It is about giving parents real elections. HMD Fusion X1 with XPlora and SafeTonet planned technology are just the beginning, ”said Silberbauer.

“Together, we push ourselves for a future in which children are empowered to use technology in a safer way, and parents have tools for additional protection and peace of mind.”

New phones, dedicated to young users, become more and more frequent.

Last year, the American Pinwheel company launched its safe smartphone for children in the UK for the first time, which places a special operating system controlled by parents on the top of the existing software of a Samsung or Google smartphone.
