One thread was recorded against 12 people, including Mangalore, South, Vedavyasa Kamath, following an alleged attack on a Congress worker during a religious event at SRI Krishna Bhajana Mandira, near Shaktinagara, the police said on Monday.

The incident happened on Sunday night, after which a complaint was filed at the Kankanady police station here, they said.

According to the complaint filed by the worker of the Yashwanth Prebhu Congress, the incident took place while assisting as a volunteer to meet the guests for the Brahma Kalashotsava ceremony.

Mr. Pubhu claimed that upon arrival, Mla Kamath faced him, asking: “What work do you have here after throwing stones at temples?”, A remark that he perceived as politically motivated.

When it opposed, a verbal altercation took place, after which a group of individuals, including Ashwith Kottari, Mani and Jayaprakash, would have attacked it, attacked his shirt.

Mr. Pubhu also supported in his report that Jayaprakash threatened his life.

Reacting to the complaint, the spokesman

“Since the Congress has come to power, there has been a model of false cases against BJP leaders, including MLA. This is still an attempt to create chaos at a peaceful event and to blame BJP,” said Mr. Rai.

Mla Kamath was employed only in casual conversations at the religious meeting and later distributed prasadam before leaving. However, some Congress workers have tried to extinguish the disorders, inciting people to surround MLA, he said.

In addition, the BJP claimed that, during the incident, a member of the Caste Community accompanying the MLA was assaulted by the Congress workers.

“When he left to file a complaint of the police, the members of the Congress, fearing a counter-case under SC/ST ATROCITIES Law, organized a fake narrative. One of them would have broken their own shirt and admitted to a hospital before lodging a complaint,” Mr. added.
