Motorcycle passengers dies in East Westwood accident, police say

Cincinnati (WXIX) -they died in an accident in East Westwood, according to the Cincinnati Police.

Police say they were called to block 2300 in Westwood Northern Boulevard around 12:30

Investigators say a 24-year-old man is operating a Harley Davidson West on Westwood Northern Blvd. Approaching Mchenry Avenue with a passenger identified by the coroner’s office in Hamilton County as a 30-year-old Reid Duffy.

The motorcyclist lost control of the vehicle, hit a curb and left the road, resulting that both the rider and the passenger is thrown from the motorcycle, the police said.

The police say the woman died on the spot.

The motorcyclist was taken to the UC MEDICAL CENTER with wounds who do not endanger the life, the officers said.

The police say they both wore headphones.

Excessive speed and damage are researched as factors in the accident.

Witnesses of the accident are asked to contact the traffic unit of the police in Cincinnati at 513-352-2514.
