The victim of the postal worker of the “serious dog attack”, says a post – The Irish Times

A postman is treated in the hospital for serious wounds, after being assumed to have been attacked by two Alsacial dogs in North Co Tipperary.

It is understood that the postman was a delivery to a property in Kilcommon last Thursday, when the two dogs settled on him.

The man, who is 60, is understood that he has suffered serious bite injuries to both his feet and his lower body.

A post spokesman said he was aware of the incident and “can confirm that our colleague was the victim of a serious dog attack.”

“As the problem is now in the hands of the authorities, we can not add anything else in this stage,” said the spokesman.

A Garda spokesman said the officers were alerted to an incident that involved two dogs in a property in Kilcommon, Co Tipperary, that after -after -after -after -after -after -after -after -after -after -after -after.

The postman received “wounds that do not threaten life” and was taken to the Limerick University Hospital, the spokesman said.

“Gardaí was employed with the owner of the dogs and arrangements with local veterinary services are made for their destruction,” he said, adding that the investigations are in progress.
