Leader Shivam Kumar was posted to the Police General Inspector (IG) in West Zone Pac on Kanth Road in Moradabad.

The Civil Police Station Lines, Manish Saxena, said Kumar died because of a shot injury.

Saxena said that the officers and staff were on the spot after they heard the sound of firearms, just to find shivam stretched into a blood basin. Kumar died on the spot, he said.

Kumar, a graduate, was a group of lot from 2019 and originally from the Bijnor district, Uttar Pradesh. The eyewitnesses described him as a cheerful man, and his sudden death left his colleagues deeply sad, the officer said.

The IPS officer, Ashutosh Kumar, currently displayed at the PAC headquarters, also holds an additional tax for IG PAC, the police said.
