Nick Leggett, President Wellington Water Board, says he “takes sounds” if he had to resign after a frightening report revealed a possible theft and problems at its organization.

“I could be a sacrifice lamb,” he told Morning Report on Tuesday.

He could also help with the solution, he told the program.

“I think the management and improvement of things is the place where we have to go with it.”

Între timp, o întâlnire urgentă a fost chemată ca urmare a unui raport nenorocit în Wellington Water.

The report – launched Monday – found structural problems and thefts at the agency and said that the capital’s yield paid almost three times for water repairs than in other parts of the country.

It is the second report that shows a weak control over contractors and finance.

The supervisory group of water advisers, presided over by former mayylingon mayor, Dame Kerry Predergast, is scheduled to meet this morning at 7.30 to discuss the report.
