Maury county community Loss of teenage grief killed in car accident

Colombia, Tenn. – A car accident in Maury County has taken the life of a teenager in Colombia.

Kayden Patterson died due to injuries suffered in a single vehicle on the 1900 block of Mooresville Pike on Friday, at 3:00 pm, according to the Maury County Fire Department. The accident is investigated by Tennessee highway patrol.

The 16 -year -old, born in Smyrna, was a sophomore at Culleoka Unit School in Maury County. On Monday, the school will have advisers available to students and staff. A wake of prayer will also take place at school at 7:30 in the morning, outside the desk around the flag.

Kayden’s funeral is on Tuesday at 13:00 at Heritage Funeral Home, 609 Bear Creek Pike, in Colombia. He will be rested at Polk Memorial Gardens following the service.

Visiting for Kayden is from 16 to 20:00 months to the funeral. A “cruise for Kayden” will take place after the visit. Participants are asked to reach a car, a unique truck or motorcycle in honor of Kayden, who had a passion for them.

The mayor of Maury county, Sheila Butt, posted the condolences on Facebook:

He prays this morning for the family who lost his child in a car accident yesterday and praying for the community of the Culleoka unit school. Our hearts have hurt you.

Kayden leaves behind his parents Justin and Cassidy, his brother Oliver, Sister Belle and other extended family members.
