Cape Police Girardeau looking for suspicion of burglary

Cape Girardeau, Mo. (KFVS) – Cape Girardeau police are looking for a suspect as part of a investigation in a report reported in the city.

According to officials with the Cape Girardeau Police Department, the officers were called to the 2000 block of N. Sprigg Street on Sunday, March 2, around 7:30 pm

When the officers arrived there, they found the door open and the victim hiding in the house.

The victim described the suspect as a man who wore a red hood and armed with a rifle in AR.

The victim reported a damages worth $ 1,000 at the door and said that around $ 180 in cash were stolen from the inside.

At this moment, no arrests were made and the investigation is ongoing.
