Miss Wilding asked her about what she never mentioned that she was abused by a large number of men when she visited the sexual health clinic.

The girl said, “I thought it was a normal thing. I didn’t know it was abuse at that time.”

Miss Wilding asked him: “If you thought it was normal, why did you lie to the assistants about your true sex life?”

The girl said: “Because they were older and I was under 16.

“I thought they would have problems, I thought they were friends and I didn’t want to put friends on problems.”

Cross examination will continue on Tuesday.

Mr. Zahid, from Crumpsall in Manchester, denies all the accusations against him, which include the sexual abuse of the girl from the moment he was 14 years old.
