Al-Azhar Grand Imam asks the Arab Summit to adopt “unified position” on Gaza

ANKARA

The great Al-Azhar in Egypt, the highest chair of Sunnite Muslim Learning, asked Arab leaders on Tuesday to take a “unified position” on the plans to replace Palestinians in the Gaza strip.

Egypt is about to host an emergency Arab summit on Tuesday to formulate a unified Arabic position on the Palestinian issue and to present an Arab counter -propriposal plans to move the Gaza population.

“We pray to God to give success to the Arab leaders gathered at the Arab Summit in Cairo,” said Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayeb in a statement in his account X.

“We urge them to stand and adopt a unified position to confront unacceptable plans to move to Palestinians in their country,” he added.

The great IMAM has asked the activation of “an Arab proposal for the Gaza reconstruction to put an end to the arrogance and chaos of decision -makers who supported the occupant entity (Israel),” Tayeb said.

US President Donald Trump has repeatedly called to “take over” Gaza and reinstall his population to develop it in a tourist destination. His plan was rejected by the Arab world and many other nations, which say it rises to ethnic cleaning.

Nearly 48,400 Palestinians were largely killed women and children, and over 111,000 others injured in a Brutal Israeli war against October 2023. The attack, which left the enclave in the ruins, was interrupted on the basis of an exchanging agreement of fire and prisoners that took place on January 19.

However, Israel stopped entering the humanitarian aid in Gaza Sunday, a few hours after the first phase of the fire termination agreement.

Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former defense minister, Yoav Gallant, for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a case of genocide at the International Court of Justice for his war on the enclave.
