Two police officers involved in RM300,000 theft in Bukit Jalil Reinsigat

Kuala Lumpur, March 4 – Police registered statements from 21 people, including two police suspected of stealing RM300,000 in Bukit Jalil recently.

The head of Kuala Lumpur police, Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa, said one of the suspects involved has been temporarily reinsured to the operating room of the police headquarters in the Cheras district (IPD), while the other can be transferred to IPD Dang Wangi, waiting for the outcome of the investigation.

“At this moment, they are not considered for suspension, but are temporarily placed under another headquarters of the district police. The case was resolved, and the investigation is complete. We are waiting for additional instructions from Bukit Aman, because it involves civil servants, ”he said.

Earlier, the media reported that the two suspects, an inspector and a corporal, aged 44 and 34, were arrested on February 23 to help investigations under section 380 of the Criminal Code.

In a separate development, Rusdi said that the investigative documents regarding the charges of a woman who claimed that she has been sexually harassed by a police officer, will be sent to the Chambers of the General prosecutor for additional actions.

On February 11, the media reported that the police have registered statements from five people to help investigate a woman who claimed to have been sexually harassed while given the statement to a rayon police office on a Capital Assembly on December 19.

The head of the Police in the Wangsa Maju district, ACP, Mohamad Lazim Ismail, was cited that they also registered the victim’s lawyer’s statement. – Bernama
