West Midlands police officers are looking for a man after Birmingham’s store staff have been threatened with a needle after a sale attempt.

A man tried to leave a store in Woody Wood with objects he didn’t pay, the police said.

The personnel who tried to stop him has been threatened. An image was issued by a man the police want to speak after the January incident.

The image showed a man in a black hat and waterproof blue jacket.

He was shown in the CCTV image to hold a basket of articles.

“We would like to talk to them after a robbery at a store on Yardley The road of wood in Birmingham which took place around 3.45 pm on January 2.

“A man entered the store, took objects and tried to leave without paying.

“While a staff member tried to retain it, they were hit with a shopping cart and then threatened with a needle.
