He said that a note that is supposed to be written by Roy was recovered from the house, but its content is still revealed, he said.

Roy and his wife were found hanging, while the minor’s body was found tied to his father, the officer said.

Rotath was Auto-Rickshaw driver, and the family lived in a house in the Haltu Purba Palli area, the police said.

After being informed by the locals, a team from the Kasba police station arrived on the spot and recovered the bodies, who were sent for post-mortem exams.

“The preliminary investigation suggests that it is a suicide case, possibly led by financial suffering. However, we do not exclude other possibilities. We talk to the members and neighbors of the deceased family. The investigation is in progress,” said the officer.

A family relative claimed that Roy had a property dispute.

Investigators analyze whether the property dispute could be related to deaths, he added.
