Police Foil Vashi Heist attempted after high -speed chase; 1 thief caught, 5 escape

Navi Mumbai: On Monday morning, a dramatic pursuit of the police took place in Vashi, when a gang of six robbers, who arrived in a red car, tried to execute a Heist. As they tried to escape, the criminals tried to run over the police in the Sagar Vihar area. A suspect was caught, but five others managed to run under the cover of darkness. The police also received a drone to catch the accused, but failed.

It was an operation by the Unit II of the Crime Branch, led by the High Police Inspector Gavali and the main police inspector Sanjay Dhumal, from the Vashi Police Section. In the operation, the police confiscated the Red Tavera car, which contained weapons and equipment for robbery.

A case was registered against the arrested suspect and his five accomplices under accusations, including robbery attempt, attempted murder and obstruction of government work.

Unit 2 of the Crime Branch received information about an imminent robbery in Vashi. Acting at this time, a police team watched the Red Tavera car and launched a tracking around 4 in the morning at the suspicious vehicle, the police initiated a chase that led to Sagar Vihar. When they were ordered to surrender, the robbers tried to descend the officers with their car, but failed.

During the chase, the vehicle of the criminals collided with two other cars before abandoning it and fled to a nearby stream. The police have managed to surprise the band leader, identified as Paramjit Poman Singh, Alias ​​Nagesh or Nagaraj (43). However, five other members – Sardar, Nepali Thapa, Hasan, Nepali and Hasan’s friend – succeeded.

At the inspection of the abandoned vehicle, the police recovered a hydraulic cutter, five screwdrivers, a pair of pliers, a cutter, an iron rod, a pack of ropes, four bags, five large bags, gloves, five scissors and three packs of chili powder – probably provided for robbery.

“Since the accused fled to the area of ​​Mangrova, I have called a drone to check in the area of ​​the stream, but we could find them. We are working on the cables we have obtained and will be arrested soon,” said Pi Gavali.
