Tributes brought to driver Wigan Lorry who died in the staffordshire M6 accident

The tribules were paid to a man who was killed when he was hit by a car on M6.

Cliff Tamou, in Wigan, died in the accident on the southern body, between the 15 stoke-on-between and 16 junctions for Crewe shortly before 22:00 GMT on Thursday.

The 58 -year -old truck broke down and left the vehicle when he was hit by a Toyota Avensis, said Staffordshire.

A 22 -year -old man from Dudley, who was leading Toyota, suffered injuries to his feet and facials. Since then he has been arrested under the suspicion that he caused death by dangerous leadership.

Mr. Tamou’s family said he had moved to the UK of New Zealand more than 30 years ago, settling in Wigan.

They described him as a devoted husband, father for six children and grandfather at five grandchildren.

“He has been a truck driver for many years and he liked to play, arbitration and coach Rugby,” the family said.

Staffordshire police have appealed to anyone has information, CCTV or Dashcam images to get in touch.
