The Myrtle Beach man pleads guilty for the burglary of 2023 before the start of the trial

Conway, SC (WMBF) – a man from Myrtle Beach acknowledged his role in a burglary just before he started his process.

Robert Thomas, 56 years old, said guilty on Monday morning for the second -degree burglary.

The officers were called in November 2023 to a 911 call about a interruption at a house on Ridge Street in the North Myrtle Beach area.

An investigation revealed that Thomas kicked in the front door and broke the door frame.

The officers managed to identify a 14 -sized shoe print on the front door, which was fitting the shoe to the size of Thomas 14 that he wore that night.

The victim and several witnesses identified Thomas as a thief.

A judge sentenced Thomas to 10 years in prison. He must serve at least 85% of his sentence before being eligible for supervised release.
