The Public Accounts Committee, which will decide that the fate of the AAP leaders against the potential criminal accusations based on the CAG reports, will be formed in the next budget session of the Delhi Assembly. He will start working in April, speaker Vijender Gupta said on Tuesday.

Addressing the media after the completion of the first gathering session on Monday (March 3), Gupta said that two reports from the general controller and the general auditor (CAG) were presented in the Delhi Assembly -one on health and the other on excise departments.

“PAC (public accounts committee) examines these reports,” he said. The group will be formed during the budget session between March 24 and 26 and will begin to operate from April.

PAC examines government finances and is responsible for ensuring financial responsibility. News18 reported that the CAP observations are expected by the end of May or early June.

A BJP leader said that if criminal actions are needed against the previous government, it will be taken on the basis of the committee report.

“The CAG performance audit report on the regulation and supply of liquor in Delhi” was submitted in the house on February 25, while, on February 28, the CAG report on public health infrastructure and health services were submitted.

The speaker, for both reports, indicated that the CAP should present his report within three months, while the departments in question-acknowns and health were directed to send his action note in a month.

The first session of the eighth meeting began on February 24 and was postponed on March 3. Speaking of his role as a speaker, Gupta said that he intends to lead the assembly in a correct and impartial way and in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution and the rules of procedure.

“We will eliminate all the wrong practices followed in the last 10 years. Now all sessions will be properly extended. The practice of organizing sessions separately for the whole year will not be followed. Special sessions will only be appointed in emerging and important situations. The meetings of the assembly are very important, “he said.

Gupta also said that the assembly will hold the “question time” in the budget session – “a practice that was almost eliminated by the previous government,” he said.

By sharing his vision, he said he would consult experts to develop the old secretariat as a national monument and major tourist attraction. “The Evidhan project to make the paperless assembly have been for almost 10 years. I intend to do immediate measures to implement it and to make the Delhi complex fully computerized, ”he added.
