Moped rider critically injured in the accident; Suspect arrested for an outstanding mandate

A desired man for a DUI of 2019 is behind bars, after critically injured a Stuart man on a moped on Tuesday morning.

The arrest came after the suspect, Marco Antonio Juarez Castanon, was involved in another wreck on Tuesday morning. In this latest accident, a Moped rider was sent to the hospital with critical injuries.

The deputies of the sheriff in Palm Beach County (PBSO) responded around 5:30 to the accident at Purdy Lane and Sherwood Forest Blvd. where they took Castanon in arrest.

He was reserved for driving without a driving license and caused serious bodily injury and soon discovered an outstanding term for similar charges.

In October 2019, Castanon was accused of leaving under influence and led without a permit, according to judicial documents.

PBSO says Castanon did not show for his appearance in court and had an active mandate for five years.

Castanon was arrested and accused of driving without a valid driving license, causing serious bodily injury, together with his outstanding mandate, according to the PBSO traffic report.
