The “small in the stature” suspects wanted in robberies, theft in Putnam County

Cookeville, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Sheriff’s office in Putnam County is looking for a group of suspects looking for a series of vehicle robberies and a car theft at the end of February.

The sheriff’s office is investigating the robberies and theft that took place on February 27 in Hulon Dyer Drive/Cedar Creek Circle and Big Orange Circle/Hawkins Crawford Road.

The suspects, which are believed to be small in the stature, were seen leading a white SUV, according to PCSO. They were masked, wearing glasses, hood and gloves – at least one of them seemed to be armed with a gun.

“The investigation, until now, reveals that only the unlocked vehicles have been targeted, while the locked ones were bypassed. Sheriff Farris urges the residents to block their vehicles and immediately report any suspicious activity. Whether you are at home or in public, always block the car doors. Never leave valuables in your vehicle, ”said PCSO.

Sheriff Eddie Farris also encouraged the residents of the county to protect themselves.

“I want to remind everyone that Tennessee law gives you the right to protect you and your family and I encourage you to be prepared to do so.”
