After two former Tarn Taran policemen were convicted by a CBI court in a fake meeting in 1993, it was a catarrh for the deceased Sukhwant Singh family.

Rajbir Singh, the youngest of Sukhwant’s four children, was in the lap of his father, when the police officials raised him that day in the village of Bahmniwala, on February 5

Five -year -old, he has weak memories of that day. “He took me in his lap and played with me when the police entered the house that morning,” he says.

Now posted as a Punjab Police employee at Saanjh Kendra, Phase 8, Rajbir says he and his older brothers have studied at Guru Aasra Trust, after his father’s sudden disappearance, while the family’s resources decreased. “If we had studied in good schools, it could have done better in life. When Mediapersons asked him how he felt in a department whose officials had his father’s blood, Rajbir replied: “It was a very different time when innocent people were raised by police and eliminated. The whole police force is not bad. Sita Ram was bad, he is punished, ”he said.

Sukhwant’s wife, Mohinder Kaur (60 years old), is as unforgettable as 32 years ago. “I have four children. I brought them with great difficulty. I want a death sentence for all those who have been paid. Only then will I get justice, ”she said.
