3 young people charged after throwing stolen car in Salem Crash

Three minors face accusations after stolen a vehicle, He failed to stop for the police and collapse on Washington Street on Monday night, the police said.

All three teenagers, two girls and a boy, face the Larceny charges and receive a stolen vehicle, according to a statement from Salem police.

On Monday at 7:43 pm, the police were warned about a vehicle, described as a white Kia soul in 2018, being driven, without lights, in the Salem Street area. The vehicle had been reported stolen from Broad Street, Salem, Sunday, the police said.

Shortly after the alert, an officer noticed Kia on Salem street. While the officer tried to get closer to the vehicle, he took off at a high speed to Harbor Street, the police said.

Kia failed to stop for officers, eventually collapsing in the 140th Washington Street area and rolled on her roof, the police said.

The photos show that the car came to rest on the roof and windshield in front of the central average of Washington Street. The vehicle’s airbags have been implemented.

The three young people occupying the vehicle were able to free themselves from the overturned vehicle, the police said.

The police put all three in arrest and took them to the police station for reservation and medical evaluation. One of the minors was transported to Salem Hospital for evaluation and was later released, the police said.

The male juvenile, Lynn, is accused of Larceny and receiving a stolen vehicle, a license -free operation, negligent operation, speed higher than the reasonable violation, said he did not stop the police, non -compliance with red light and a passing violation, the police said.

The two young minors are accused by Larceny and receive a stolen vehicle, the police said.

All three young people were issued to their tutors following the reservation and medical evaluations, the police said.
