Florida (Wesh) – Five Colombian residents were arrested last month following several residential robberies in the center of Florida, the Sheriff’s office in Orange County announced on Monday.

The five are accused of targeting the residences of business owners while they were at work. The incidents took place in Osceola and Orange counties.

The suspects arrested for the involvement in the burglary ring are: Jesmy Andrea Morena Cuellar, 35, Angie Hernandez Baquero, 32, Guiovanni Marin Bernal, 27, Miguel Escobar Guerrero, 43 and Camila Casallas Gomez, 29.

Two of the suspects have ice deportation warrants, and the Orange County Sheriff’s office says they work with ICE to determine if state immigration charges are justified.

The office of the sheriff in Orange County, together with the Osceola County Sheriff’s office, wanted the group.

Investigators have found that the group is suspected of operating in several Western states and is believed to be connected to dozens of robberies throughout the country, OCSO said.

Extensive investigations and supervision were carried out by the respective agencies.

“On February 21, just before 9:00 pm, three suspicious vehicles began to cart a few houses and businesses at the southern end of Orange County,” the sheriff’s office said in a press release. “Our teams were looking while three of the suspects led in a complex of apartments near the Universal Boulevard and Sand Lake Road, kicked in the door of an apartment and broke out.”

“The detectives followed that group and were caught at an apartment complex near Vineland and Concess Roads,” the sheriff’s office added. “Two other suspects were caught by the detectives in Osceola County. Anticipate additional fees in the near future. “

All five were accused of criminal mistakes, the third degree degree and the burglary of a home.
