RBI calls Ajit Ratnakar Joshi as Executive Director

Wednesday (March 5, 2025), the reserve bank, said that he appointed Ajit Ratnakar Joshi as executive director (ED), who will take care of the Statistics Department and the Information Management and Financial Stability Department.

Before being promoted as ED, Mr. Joshi held the position of main counselor in the Statistics Department and Management.

He has over three decades experience in the fields of statistics, information technology and cyber risks. He also served as a member of the faculty at the Institute of Development and Research in Bank Technology, Hyderabad.

Mr. Joshi also occupied as a member of several commissions and working groups regarding the compilation of macroeconomic statistics and political problems.

It has a master’s degree in statistics at Nagpur University, PhD. In the monetary economy of Iit Madras, the diploma in development and planning policies at the Institute of Economic Growth, Delhi and is an associate certificate of the Indian Institute of Bank and Finance.
