Blast at Parts Auto Parts in Toyota City Kills one – DW – 03/06/2025

An explosion at the Chuo Spring Co’s plant in the city center in Japan Toyota, killed a person and left two injured, officials said on Thursday.

The plant in which the explosion took place produces car parts and consumables to the Toyota engine.

What do we know about the explosion?

An official of the Fire Section said that the explosion resulted from a dust collector inside the Fujioka plant.

Chubu-Nippon’s broadcasting network in Japan and Nagoya Broadcasting reported that the local firefighter section received an emergency call that said “a dust collector” and that “the roof came out”.

The leadership of Toyota Motors and Chuo Spring acknowledged the explosion, but still gathered details about the incident.

A similar explosion shook the factory in 2023, forcing the car manufacturer to partially suspend production in several internal factories.
