Amazon called Philips favorite cloud provider to drive innovation and improve patient care

Seattle (DPA -AFX) – Amazon Web Services – an Amazon.com company, Inc. (Amzn) announced on Wednesday that she was chosen by Royal Philips as her favorite cloud provider to improve global computer solutions. By adopting a cloud -based and AI approach, Royal Philips aims to improve patient care, accelerate product development and reduce costs.

As part of this strategy, Royal Philips migrates data and medical applications from local databases to AWS, managing over 134 databases in the cloud and taking over 34 million patient exams. The company reduced the infrastructure costs by 36%, and reduced the computer solutions to over 200 medical sites and connected 1.3 million IoT devices to the cloud.

Royal Philips uses AWS AI and Automation to optimize workflows, such as the use of AWS Healthimaging to manage imaging data and launch a virtual assistant for electronic medical documents. The company also collaborates with AWS to develop radiology tools based on AI to address staff deficiencies and reduce administrative tasks.

A 2008 long-term AWS partner, Royal Philips continues to expand its cloud-based medical assistance offers, which makes the selected solutions available on AWS Marketplace.

On Wednesday, AMFN closed to $ 208.36, up 2.24%and traded to $ 208.05, decreasing by 0.15%, in transaction after hours on the Nasdaq global market.
