Ron Varnagatas reacts to the arrest of the sexual abuse of the children of Nick van Davis

Athens, Ala. (Waffle) – a man is shocked and confused one day after his friend has long been arrested and accused of sexual abuse by a child.

According to the office of the sheriff in Limestone County, Nickie Van Davis, 72, was arrested on Tuesday, after an investigation revealed that he could have sexually abused by several children of two years-in the last two decades.

Ron Varnagatas said he lived across the street by Nickie Van Davis for over 20 years and never at any time would have been expected to be able to be able to do so.

“Man, I fell from the chair. I couldn’t believe it, “said Varnagatas. “He is careless.”

Davis is currently accused of a number of sexual abuse on a child under the age of 12. He is owned in the prison in Limestone County, with a cash bond of $ 1 million.

Varnagatas said that Davis was the most beautiful guy you have ever met and that he would watch Varnagatas’s pets and cut his lawn whenever his family went on vacation.

He wonders how his friend or how any man could do such a stupid thing, saying he still doesn’t believe.

But a factor makes Varnagatas fear that it is true.

“He ran and confused me,” he said. “If you were not guilty, you would not run.”

Varnagatas said as far as he knows, Davis was never married and had no children.

The Limestone County Sheriff’s office did not provide any additional comment on Wednesday, but officials urges anyone to have information about this case.
