Leaders CLACKAMAS CO. Request the Commissioner to resign after charges of theft theft

Oregon City, hours. (KPTV) – A CLACKAMAS County Commissioner pleaded innocent on Wednesday for eight different accusations, after being accused of stealing money from an elderly man. This comes just a few months after Melissa Fireside was chosen in the commission, defeating former commissioner Mark Shull.

Fireside is suspected of taking advantage of an 83 -year -old man financially when he accessed his computer network.

A CLACKAMAS County Commissioner was pushed innocent on Wednesday for eight different charges.

It is assumed that he falsified his signature, as well as the signature of the Oregon State representative, April Dobson, to have access to funds. The Department of Justice in Oregon has accused Fireids with 1st degree thefts, “aggravated” the 1st degree, two accusations of identity theft, two computer crime charges and two accusations of false degree I.

Rep. Dobson launched a case statement, saying he borrowed the phyresid money last summer to help his business and repaid the debt. But Dobson says he heard from law enforcement in November about the alleged crime and said that there is a problem with the source of money that Fireside used to pay back.

Her statement read in part: “We have so much work in front of us in Clackamas County, and our residents deserve leaders in which they can trust. I believe that Melissa Foreside’s actions are unacceptable for an elected official and call her to resign immediately. “

Also, the president of Clackamas County, Craig Roberts, also launched a statement, saying that Fireside informed him that he immediately took his leave. His statement has read that he is deeply concerned about the indictment and that “the board of directors remains employed to maintain the confidence and confidence that the people in Clackamas County have placed in us as they continue to fulfill our responsibilities.”

Commissioner Ben West also launched a statement in which he said that Fireside broke the public’s confidence and also asked to resign immediately:

“The charges of crime against Commissioner Firesid are deceitful. My heart is heading for the elderly man who was supposed to have victimized. The Board of Directors must take quick measures to protect the county and vulnerable populations we serve. “

Fireside also owns the business management company “PDX consulting” in Lake Oswego.

She is facing up to 10 years for the accusation of aggravated theft and up to five years for the remaining charges.
