Resolution for Appleton business looking for license cars

Appleton, wis. (WBAY) – At the meeting of the Common Council on Wednesday Appleton, a pub was looking to licens a handful of cars that the police say are illegal.

Pizzeria Pub and Bar, a new business located on North Sharon Street, has sought approval for five devices that offer payments to customers, which the police say is illegal in the state of Wisconsin.

In response, the pub’s owner claimed that similar devices were seen in pubs, bars and restaurants throughout the city and that he considered that his business was selected.

Earlier this month, the city denied a request for a liqueur license for a separate business, this time in the center of Appleton, due to concerns about cars.

Finally, the pizzeria request to license those cars passed with a 11-2 vote.
