Statistics launched on the software licenses used

On February 24, Doge announced in X that US agencies often have more software licenses than employees and that these licenses are often paid, but are not installed on relevant computers.

According to reports, at GSA, a company with 13,000 employees, there are 37,000 Winzip licenses, 19,000 training software subscriptions and 7,500 project management software. These numbers represent a division with only 5,500 employees.

Earlier this morning, Doge offered an update to the accessories that were implemented after the above revelation.

The initial results on the software licenses paid after the audit was revealed:

  • 35 855 Servicenow licenses were paid in connection with three products, while only 84 of the licenses were used.
  • 11 020 Acrobat licenses with zero users.
  • 1 776 Cognos licenses, only 325 were used.
  • 800 Westlaw Classic licenses, using only 216.
  • 10,000 Java licenses and only 400 were used.

Following statistics, the post on X simply concluded that “all are fixed.”
