Cities Laguna suspend courses due to high heat index

Manila, Philippines – Several cities in the province of Laguna announced on Thursday that they suspend courses for Friday, March 7, due to the high heat index.

Santa Cruz, Mayor Laguna, Edgar San Luis, said that all the front classes will be suspended for a week, on March 7-14.

The schools in the city were advised to move on to an alternative learning way involving online classes, self-learning modules and asynchronous tasks.

Los Baños also suspended on Thursday the face -to -face courses in all public and private schools, as well as in the cities of Bay, Calauan and CaBuyao.

Other cities that also suspended classes are San Narciso and Santa Cruz, Zambales; Himamaylan, Western black; Rosario, cavite; and the entire province of Abra.
