An investigation is ongoing after it is assumed that a pensioner was assaulted while trying to block a sales suspect from the creaking of a store.

The 80 -year -old man bought goods at the cooperation in Forbes Road, Faverseham, when he tried to stop the man.

After seeking the help of the staff at the supermarket, it is assumed that the victim was then pushed before suffering a cut in the head.

The incident happened on Friday around 17.45.

The police have now released a CCTV image of a man who I think can help their questions.
