Four arrests for alleged robberies over $ 10 Lakh from crusor manager

Police arrested four people about the supposed $ 10.20 armed robbery from a crushing manager in Mavungala, Kanhangad, Kasaragod, Thursday (March 6). The arrested suspects are the natives of Bihar Muhammed Ebron Alam, 21 years old, Muhammed Malik, 21, and Muhammad Farooq, and Assam, Dhananjan Bora, 22.

It seems that the incident took place around 17.50 PM Wednesday (March 5), when PP Raveendran, Stockyard manager of Jas Granit Aggregate Limited, returned home from the crusher.

According to the police, three attackers intercepted, threatened him at the point, assaulted one of his associations and fled with a bag containing cash. It is assumed that the stolen amount included 2.50 lei from Echikkanam Stockyard and $ 7.70 Lakh from Vellarikundu Yard, along with a mobile phone.

Following the robbery, Raveendran alerted the company’s authorities and police. Acting quickly, a coordinated investigation was led by Kanhangad Babu Peringoth, together with the Hosdurg inspector, P. Ajithkumar, with information sent to several police stations.

During the probe, a car recorded by Telangana, used by the accused, was followed to a Kozhikode resident who rented it. The GPS tracking led the investigators to the Kanhangad station, but until the officers arrived, the suspects have already escaped the train. The CCTV filming confirmed their movements, which caused the police to coordinate with the Karnataka police.

Acting on the instructions of the D. Shipla district police chief, three of the accused were arrested at Mangaluru Station with the help of the Karnataka Police. The fourth accused, originally from ASSAM, was detained later. Additional investigations are underway.
