Yes calls Creecy to take into account the Bunge Bungle’s driving license card

  • DA urges Minister Barbara Creecy to reveal complete details about the irregularities in the auction of the license license machines and issues the full report of the general auditor.
  • The action of the Court of Minister Creecy addresses the legalities, but not the main cause of non -observance of the acquisitions and the systemic wrong management within the transport department.
  • Yes it requires full transparency and responsibility, warning that, without disclosure, they will use parliamentary mechanisms to ensure that Minister Creecy is held accountable.

Please find Soundbits attached in English and Afrikaans of Dr. Chris Hunsinger MP.

DA urges the Minister of Transport, Barbara Creecy, to publicly reveal the complete details on the irregularities in the auction of driving license cars, while taking the problem in court. The full report of the general auditor (AG) regarding this issue was not made public and, without its release, the main cause of the serious non -compliance of the acquisitions remains hidden and cannot be approached properly.

It is good and good that the minister has led the auction contract in court for a declarative order, but this will approach only the procedural irregularities or the legality of the final contract and will not be compared to why such a crucial offer had to be taken over to the general auditor for investigation first.

DA asks for the full report of the general auditor, not just a summary, to be made public by Minister Creecy, so that the complete facts can be known and can be operated.

The problems in the auction for the driving license machines clearly indicate the systemic administration and corruption that affect the transport department for years, which must be addressed.

The problem of the driving license card is not an isolated incident, but still an example of inefficiencies and failures that have caused significant delays and frustration in the country’s licensing system.

Creecy has to take South Africa in her confidence and reveal the main cause of the auction problem: Who and what caused the serious non-observance and what irregularities have proven to have happened?

Yes requests a complete and transparent disclosure in this regard and, if it is not immediately from Minister Creecy, so that the responsibility can start, we will use Parliament’s mechanisms to force the minister to take into account and reveal.

Yes is committed to ensuring transparency, responsibility and full supervision of the transport department, especially on such significant and impact offers, such as driving license cards.
