The man arrested after armed carjacking, robbery attempts in the center of Madison

Madison, wis. – Madison police arrested a man on Wednesday who said they had tried to carve more people and plunder another person near Breese Stevens Field.

The officers were called to block 900 in East Washington Ave, around 8 in the morning, for the first reported carjacking attempt. A woman said she was driving in the area when a bicycle man approached her car and scored a knife. The woman could drive away.

The man approached another person leading in the area and threw his knife again. Both drivers reported that the man cried to them to exit their vehicles.

The police said that the man then entered a nearby grocery store and tried to use the knife to plunder a customer, however, the store staff was scared.

Finally, the officers found the man trying to hide in a nearby sewerage leak and took him into arrest. A knife was recovered from the drain.

The man was arrested for infringing the probation, however, the police said there are additional charges.
