Two people accused of fentanel trafficking in Jasper Co.

Jasper County, SC (Woc) – The Sheriff’s office in Jasper County arrested two people in connection with fentanil traffic.

Rigoberto Andino-Galdamez and Jan Ortiz-Rolon were arrested and accused of fentanyl trafficking and holding a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

The sheriff’s office says that the arrests resulted from a stop of traffic in the area of ​​Independence in Hardeeville.

During the investigation, the deputies say they confiscated about 20 grams of fentanil and a firearm.

“This arrest highlights our continuous efforts to combat the distribution of dangerous drugs in our community,” said Sheriff Chris Malphrus. “We remain employed to keep those who treat these substances responsible and keep them safe in Jasper County.”

Both people have been arrested and are held at the detention center in Jasper County.
