A 28 -year -old woman’s relief would have stolen Kambucha’s drinking cases, worth $ 1143 543 from her employer, Kambuha Fresh Zimbabwe.

Netsai Muredzi appeared this week in front of the Mătărăre Mătăre, Mrs. Perseverance Makala, who is facing charges, as defined in section 113 (1) of the Law on criminal rights (coding and reform), chapter 9:23.

She denied the charges of theft, and the problem was postponed until March 14, to continue the trial.

It was the case of the state that Muredzi stole a total of 12,781 Kambuha drink cases from the company, where he was responsible for receiving stocks from the headquarters, between November 2023 and September 2024.

“During this period, Muredzi was entrusted with the management of actions, registering sales and reporting to the headquarters. Between the period in question, Muredzi has informed the case and took the company’s property, ignoring the right of Kambuha Fresh Zimbabwe to own and control his assets.

“A takeover of the stocks was made in August 2024 at the branch and it was discovered that stocks were missing. A criminal audit was carried out from November 2023 to September 2, 2024 and it was discovered that 12,781 cases were missing, ”he said.

The problem was reported to the police and investigations were carried out that led to Muredzi’s arrest.

“In an attempt to avoid responsibility before her arrest, Muredzi resigned from Kambucha Fresh Zimbabwe. Later it was arrested. The evidence gathered during the criminal audit were presented in court and recognized as evidence, ”said Mr. Mlayuku.
