He worked intermittently as a truck driver since the age of 17. “At this moment, he works at the farm of his parents and is also employed as a truck driver for a cousin,” the decision said.

Drysdale had nine previous convictions between January 2012 and May 2016 for the affected leadership, drug holding, non -observance of judicial orders, unauthorized holding of a firearm, obstruction of a peace officer, attack with a weapon and disarming a peace officer.

“Discourage and denunciation are key objectives in the conviction” Drysdale, “said the judge, mentioning that the accusations he was convicted are serious.

“Moreover, the extortion of the case was” sex -trained “, if the accused extorted the victim to obtain sexual acts, thus violating her bodily integrity,” said Sihra.

Drysdale presented a “model of illegal conduct,” said the judge. “It took place during a year, in the form of repeated undesirable communications that tormented the victim and, in fact, led to multiple sexual aggression.”

Drysdale “was either aware that his conduct was harmful to the victim or was blind. Its moral guilt is very high, ”said Sihra.

The judge considered it an aggravating circumstance that Drysdale’s illegal actions took place for about a year. “He had many opportunities to stop his criminal behavior, especially given the expressed dissatisfaction of the victim, but he did not do so,” the judge said.

Drysdale started taking drugs at the age of 13, the decision said.

“Over the years, he has used a variety of substances, including oxicontin, heroin and methamphetamine. He stated that, at the height of his addiction, he used any substances he could acquire. He participated in residential treatment at one time in Ontario. “

Drysdale also went through “aversion therapy in Mexico using the psychedelic substance, Ibogaine,” said Sihra, mentioning that “her mother is reported to say that there has been a significant change in the behavior of the accused in the last five years, attributing it to Ibogain.”

Drysdale acknowledged that he takes drugs “from time to time for stress,” said the judge, mentioning that there is no evidence to show that he receives “any evaluation, counseling or treatment … Despite the fact that the accused acknowledged that there is a correlation between his past convictions and the consumption of substances.”

The judge concluded that the arrest at home was not adequate in the case of Drysdale.

“The accused bombed the victim with unwanted communications over a thousand times in a year, despite his reproaches,” said Sihra.

“He has made her have sex against her wishes several times. The offenses of sexation and criminal harassment on the facts of the subject are so serious, only the real incarceration can transmit the appropriate message of discouragement and denunciation. “
