MOB beats rape accused in the court headquarters in Thakurgaon

A primary teacher, arrested on charges to violate a 12-year-old fifth student in Thakurgaon Sadar Upazila, was assaulted by an angry crowd this afternoon, while he was taken to court.

Witnesses said that a group of angry locals and students attacked the teacher as soon as he reached the court.

In order to maintain security, the police increased the security details and presented it later before the court that sent him to prison, said the inspector of the MD Belal Hossain court.

At the beginning of the day, the protests broke out for violence against women from all over the country, including in Thakurgaon.

There was a meeting in front of the cooperation market, where students from different educational institutions participated.

After the discussion, they removed a procession in the city, which ended in front of the Thakurgaon DC office.

Speakers have asked for exemplary punishments for those involved in attractive attacks on women and children.

Under the flag “protest against rape and oppression in Thakurgaon”, people from different sections of society organized the event.

The police detained Mozammel Haque Manik, 50 years old, assistant professor of a primary government school, on charges of trial to rape a 12-year-old student at the institution during a private school class on Saturday.

The girl was admitted to a government hospital for treatment.

Regarding the information, the police detained the teacher in his house in the afternoon, said Saif Islam, an officer to the BHulli Police Section.

The victim’s father filed a file at the police station against the teacher the same night.
