Alabama Point East Stretch of Beach Closed for Spring Break

Alabama Point East Stretch of Beach Closed for Spring Break

Orange Beach, Ala. (Wala) – The city of Orange Beach posted on its Facebook page reminder about spring break, including the closure of the beach portion by the Pass bridge.

Here is the post:

The city of Orange Beach

Believe it or not, the spring break season is over us. It is the time of the year in which we share our friendly memory that Orange Beach is a family -oriented beach community. Anyone looking for a party city, the city of Orange Beach is not. Minor drink, illegal drug use, disordered behavior or any other violation of peace is not tolerated here. We respect each other, we enjoy a good time – responsible – and we always keep our beaches.

For public safety reasons, I also closed the small section Alabama Point East of the Beach by the Pass Bridge (presented on the map) for spring break, which will be up to most of April.

The map presents the small section of the beach that is temporarily closed.

This section of the State Beach at Veldido Pass is a popular place for spring switches, and the closure helps to address the Orange Beach Police Department.

All the other public access beaches in Orange Beach remain open, except for this very small portion by the Veldido Bridge from Alabama Point East.

Most Alabama Point East remains open, along with parking.
