Man accused after fighting at Barn of auction

Williamson County, ill. (KFVS) – A man is in arrest after the authorities say he fought with an elderly man during an auction on Saturday night.

According to the Sheriff’s office in Williamson County, the deputies were called to Bud’s Barn Barn in Johnston City around 5:45 pm, on March 8, for a fight. The participants told the shipment that they had a man set to the ground.

When the deputies arrived, they found around 30 people standing near the front entrance, as a tender took place. Some individuals kept a man on the ground right inside the front gate.

Witnesses told the deputies that the man injured another person and when he tried to run, they grabbed him and kept him on the ground.

According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect, identified as Adam R. Jennings, was in a state of intoxication and the smell of alcohol. He also wrapped his speech, hindering the deputies to understand him.

The victim, a 79 -year -old man, had swelling and redness around his eye and could not rise because of a wound to his left foot. It also had a large cut on the left arm.

He was transported to a hospital in the area for treatment.

Jennings was arrested and quoted for aggravated battery (victim over 60 years and in a public place), which is a class offense.
